The first round of the NFL Draft 2022 came up with a lot of surprises. The Wide-Reciever Pool of this draft has been one of the best of all time. Many teams traded assets to get a better pick in the draft but ended up drafting a defensive player instead, like the Chiefs and the Packers. However, one person would have enjoyed the way Draft played out, and it was the Rapper Drake.

Drake, one of the most popular rappers and songwriters, is known for his love of sports. He has also been spotted often at the Toronto Raptors game. Unsurprisingly, his thing for sports betting is also known to the majority of his fans.

Drake placed a bet on Drake London, the WR from USC, to be the first receiver to get drafted this year. Surprisingly, this bet cashed out as Drake London was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the 8th overall pick. Drake had placed $100,000 to win $335,000, and he gained a massive profit of 235k from the Draft.

Atlanta Falcons help Drake cash out big

When the Atlanta Falcons were on the clock with the 8th overall pick, few would have expected them to pick the USC WR. However, the Rapper’s wish came true as the Falcons drafted Drake London, who is considered one of the best receivers in this class.

London knew about the whole bet thing, and he spoke about it following the draft. The new Falcons WR said, “My friends were hitting my phone saying Champagne Papi bet on me,” London said. “So, I thought that was funny.”

Even without playing in the NFL, the receiver has already made his name worldwide due to his first name is the same as the Canadian Rapper.
