Terry Bradshaw made a troubling remark about the Cardinals not running the football

Remaining poised during a broadcast is not the easiest task. Commentators, analysts, reporters, and sometimes players slip up. The theme behind Terry Bradshaw’s comment, however, is not one of those things that can be swept under the rug and chalked up as a mistake.

Nearing the end of Sunday’s pregame show, while discussing the Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray, the four-time Super Bowl champion made some remarks that explained why Arizona won’t make Murray run.

Bradshaw said, “They’re not gonna run. They’re not gonna do it. They just can’t do it. Their mentality is throw, throw, throw, throw. I think if this kid ran five or six runs in a row, I think he’d commit suicide or something.” Co-host Michael Strahan was immediately caught off guard by Bradshaw’s statements. Fellow host Howie Lomg bounced back from his surprise and smoothed the situation over by saying, “Whoa, whoa, whoa! That’s a little dark for this audience!”

The flippant tone of the remark disregarded the gravity of the situation and issue.
