Cardinals QB Kyler Murray has some impressive achievements to his name. The talented QB is one of an amazing group of young QBs who are starting to dominate the NFL. However, he not only has the talents required to play football at the highest level, but also has clear views on social aspects.
Murray’s latest tweet shows his stance on certain social issues which have recently started coming to the fore again. His tweet was about the recent overturning of the Roe vs Wade verdict by the Supreme Court.

What did Kyler Murray have to say about the Roe vs Wade decision?
Murray took to Twitter to voice his opinion about the recent Supreme Court decision. The Supreme Court recently overturned Roe vs Wade in an iconic decision. As a result of this decision, the constitutional protection of abortion was reversed and the subject of abortion became a matter for the states to decide, rather than a central law on it.

Murray tweeted in support of the women who would be disadvantaged by the ruling. He wrote, “No one should be able to force their beliefs on anyone’s body, that is not right. Sending love to our women.” His view summed up the majority view in the US. From the widespread protests taking place, it seems like 80% of the US populace does not support the decision.

Murray’s tweet was one of a list of athletes tweeting against the ruling. Cardinals TE Maxx Williams and WR Hakeem Butler also tweeted against it. Phoenix Suns forward Jae Crowder also tweeted saying he feared the impact of the ruling on his own daughter in the future.
Kyler Murray’s career in the NFL so far

In 2021, Murray led the Cardinals to their first-ever playoffs since 2015 and has been a Pro Bowler for two consecutive years. Interestingly, he had the option to play both in the NFL and the MLB, as he was a first-round selection for both sports in their respective drafts. However, the QB continued with football.
Over the course of his three-year career so far, he has a win-loss record of 22-23-1. He has a pass completion percentage of more than 60% and has 11400 yards gained from passing.

Murray’s opinion regarding the ruling shows that the younger batch of players in the NFL has more than just games on their mind. They are very articulate about their views and do not shy away from making them public.
