Christian McCaffrey might be on his way out of the Carolina Panthers. During the 2022 offseason, the Panthers are willing to “Listen to offers” for the RB. McCaffrey still has $44 million left on his four-year deal with Carolina. But keeping his recent injury-prone performance in mind, the Panthers are looking to let him go. He hasn’t been able to make any kind of impact in the past couple of seasons. The RB has spent more time on the sidelines than on the field. Christian has been a little weary, as of late.

Christian McCaffrey with the Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey was the number 8 pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2017 NFL draft. The Stanford product was one of the league’s prominent playmakers. For his first three seasons, he was one of the NFL’s most dynamic players. During that period McCaffrey carried the ball for a grand total of 5,443 yards. He also made 39 touchdowns from 2017 to 2019.

Christian signed a new contract with the Panthers in April 2020. Since then he has only played 10 games. The new contract made him the highest-paid wide receiver in the history of the NFL. In the previous season, McCaffrey only made three appearances. He was dealing with shoulder and ankle injuries. The injuries made his mobility limited.

McCaffrey on his Injuries
In October, McCaffrey spoke about his injuries and claimed it would not affect his playing style. “I play full speed all the time,” said Christian. The Panthers are looking for a replacement for McCaffrey. His stock has never been lower than it is currently. The running back can still perform when he is healthy. The Colorado native delivered an average of 112.1 yards in the seven games he played last year.
His contract will expire in 2025. But it seems like the Panthers are entertaining offers to let him go before that. Where do you think Christian McCaffrey will end up? Does he still have some game left in him?
