The team’s owners, the Kraft family (mainly Robert Kraft), have decided to donate $1 million to “local grassroots organizations fighting for equity, working to end systematic racism, and creating meaningful change in our community.

The organizations will be chosen in collaboration with Patriots’ players. Then, they shall be invited to speak to executive staff and senior management across businesses of The Kraft Group. Consequently, this will allow employees and other associated persons to learn about the work of the organizations and continue to grow in knowledge and awareness. Above all, the exercise might prove especially beneficial for those in leadership positions.

The video highlighted how actions, knowledge, equity, and unity respectively trump words, ignorance, privilege, and standing alone. It closed with a warm but powerful message – our eyes, ears, and hearts are open.

Robert Kraft is a billionaire businessman with assets across industries. He also owns a Major League Soccer and an e-sports team in New England. In the past, the Kraft family has donated millions of dollars to philanthropic causes. Additionally, they were among the first to help at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in America.

Recently, Robert Kraft auctioned off the ring from the Patriots’ historic comeback win over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI for $1.025 million via the All-In Challenge. The proceeds helped feed Americans struggling to find their next meal during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kraft is celebrating his 79th birthday today.
