‘This Is a Disaster’: NFL World Send Prayers As Tua Tagovailoa Stretchered Off the Field After Possibly Suffering 2nd Concussion in 5 Days

In a major setback, Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa left the game against Cincinnati Bengals on a stretcher. The 24-year-old started in Thursday night football despite having back and angle injuries. The nature of his injury appears scary. 

Earlier, Tagovailoa returned to action last week after he was evaluated for a concussion. He left Thursday’s game on a stretcher. This was after he landed on his back, and head on a sack by Josh Tupou in the second quarter of the game. NFL fans raised their concern and displayed their protest for allowing him to play despite a serious injury, earlier. Several top stars, including Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, also posted Tweets wishing him a speedy recovery.

Mahomes wished him good health.

Arizona Cardinals Defensive end, JJ Watt asked to stop showing the replays.

A fan wanted the suspension of the coach for lying about Tua.

Another user asked why Tua was cleared to play.

What happened to Tua Tagovailoa?

After the scary incident, Tagovailoa lay down on the ground as tensed teammates rounded up in concern. The talented QB was attended for several minutes. Later on, he has been carted off the field.

During the diagnosis, it was revealed he had both neck and head injuries. However, he was conscious, and it is a positive sign, believes the medical staff. The talented QB’s hands showed ‘fencing response’, a neurological response to head trauma.

Earlier, the star QB was placed on a stabilizing board before taken into a stretcher. He was 8-of-14 for 110 yards and had an interception. Meanwhile, Teddy Bridgewater replaced Tagovailoa.
