The Cleveland Browns have Jacoby Brissett, who is there in case this situation arises. It is likely that he will be the starting quarterback for them in Watson’s absence. That can change quite quickly, as Colin Kaepernick is regularly linked to an NFL return.

According to a report, the Cleveland Browns could be tempted to bring in Colin Kaepernick if Watson is suspended for the entire 2022/23 NFL season. The Las Vegas Raiders brought in Kaepernick for a workout earlier in the offseason. That move didn’t materialize, and Kaepernick was left without a team in the NFL once again.

Will bringing in Colin Kaepernick be a good decision for the Cleveland Browns?

The Cleveland Browns received a lot of criticism when they traded for Deshaun Watson. If they bring in Kaepernick, that might lead to more groups of people getting offended. Not many people were fans of Kaepernick’s actions when he was a part of the league and they are rooting for him to never return to the NFL.

If one solely talks about on-field activities, bringing in the inactive Kaepernick won’t be a wise move for the franchise. Jacoby Brissett would be the better option as he is already with the team and will keep the spotlight away from the Browns. The franchise wouldn’t want to see more drama after witnessing everything that is transpiring around Watson. Hence, off-field, Brissett seems to be the better option.
