Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick garnered a lot of praise after becoming the face of sports equipment manufacturer juggernaut Nike. The former Super Bowl finalist was part of their 30th anniversary ‘Just Do It’ campaign that led to gaining praise from the NFL GOAT himself. The tweet had garnered a lot of attention on social media and spread like wildfire inside and outside the league.

Among the notable figures noticing and liking Nike’s newest campaign in 2018 was former New England Patriots QB Tom Brady. According to reports from TMZ, he made his mark on Instagram by liking four different posts featuring the new Nike ad. It was a rare occurrence for the legendary QB to like a rival brand’s activities on social media.

The Kaepernick-oriented campaign has also received a lot of backlash after launching with a tag line stating, “Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.” Despite the collective shock, Brady had been supportive of Kaepernick and his beliefs. In the past, he has had interviews where he has shared his confidence. Brady believes it will develop a culture and an environment for these long and healthy conversations.

The support for Kaepernick also meant that some of Brady‘s past friends started to distance themselves. Among some of the high-profile names was Donald Trump. The controversial figure was reportedly against Kaepernick and his actions in the NFL. The supposed factions began to form around the former Niners QB, and Brady picked his side.
