After the kneeling incident in 2016, Colin Kaepernick shifted his focus off the court. The former QB, a social activist, is no longer sought after by teams due to his brave stand of kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police brutality in the US. Despite the controversy, he remains in the realm of free agency, using his platform to do good for the community.

However, Kaepernick has plans to make a comeback in other ways, even if it’s not on the football field. Whether it’s through a graphic novel or a video game, the former NFL star is determined to stay true to his journey and continue making an impact.

Colin Kaepernick story featuring his young self

Although the former QB is mostly known for his domination in the football field, he equally excelled in the realm of baseball. The graphic novel mainly showcases those times, when Kaepernick had trouble choosing between the two sports before finally landing a QB spot for the 49ers. Titled, ‘Colin Kaepernick: Change the Game’, the novel has been fairly famous and was published back in March.

While several pages from the novel have already taken the internet by storm, one of them featuring young Kaepernick in a baseball field certainly turns heads. The page starts with a message that reads, “California some years back,” then showcases the young pitcher’s struggle on the pitch. The artistic graphics show how the youngster is confused and hopeless while facing an opponent. Then the picture proceeds to showcase Kaepernick throwing the ball, which is hit by the striker for a home run. The speech balloon then reads, “And Colin Kaepernick is under so much pressure. He is devastated,” beautifully showing the young pitcher’s struggle that day.
