Colin Kaepernick hasn’t been a part of the NFL for over five years. During his days in the NFL, he was a decent quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers and made many fans and friends in the league.

However, when his projected move to the Baltimore Ravens fell through, one of the NFL legends he grew up as a fan of torched him while speaking on a video. It was none other than Ravens’ legend, Ray Lewis.

Lewis didn’t like the way Kap’s move fell through because of his girlfriend, Nessa Diab. Nessa Diab had posted this meme before her husband’s move to the Ravens fell through.

In a video he posted on Twitter, he said, “The football field is our sanctuary. If you do nothing else, young man, get back on the football field and let your play speak for itself, and what you do off the field, don’t let too many people know, because they’re going to judge you, anyway. No matter what you do, no matter if it’s good or bad.”

Colin Kaepernick, back in 2010, tweeted out a tweet that showed he was a fan of Ray Lewis. Kaepernick claimed that he would have done a baseball slide if he saw Ray Lewis coming at him. Kaepernick was a great baseball player and was even drafted into the MLB. However, he chose to play football, and he did it well.

The Baltimore Ravens were in dire need of a quarterback when they tried signing Colin Kaepernick. That move didn’t materialize, but it was a blessing in disguise for the franchise.

Missing out on Kaepernick helped them draft Lamar Jackson. He is an elite talent and is the face of the franchise. If they had gotten Colin Kaepernick, he might not have been the right option as Jackson.

Lamar Jackson won the MVP award merely in his second season in the league. He has a long way to go, but Jackson seems like the right man to lead the Baltimore Ravens franchise. On the other hand, Kaepernick continues to work hard in order to get an opportunity to return to the league.
