NFL quarterback Andrew Luck’s surprise retirement back in 2019 at the age of just 29 left football fans across the globe stunned. The highly-rated QB once touted by many to win a Super Bowl (or two) hung up his boots citing injuries he sustained over a relatively short NFL career.

Ever since his retirement, Luck decided to go off-the-grid, leaving many to wonder as to what exactly he was up to and whether or not he’ll ever make a comeback to the sport. Former teammate and four-time Pro-Bowler TY Hilton opened up about the same during a segment with the NFL’s Good Morning Football.

‘Coming back? I don’t think he will’

“He’s not much of a social media guy. He’s always been kind of behind the scenes,” said Hilton when asked about Luck’s whereabouts.

Hilton, who was recruited in the same draft class by the Colts as Luck in 2012 enjoyed some of his best career years with Luck in the pocket delivering him dimes. After all, Luck averaged close to 30 touchdowns a season throughout his career, a stat which reflects well on Hilton’s CV as well.

“I talk to him every other week… Coming back? I don’t know, he’s pretty happy with retirement life. He’s just enjoying being at home with his daughter Lucy,” said Hilton.

“I don’t think we will (ever see him back in the NFL), but he’s enjoying himself and I’m happy for him,” he added.

While it was former Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett who took over the reins after Luck’s departure, the Colts went ahead and added veteran quarterback Phillip Rivers on free agency for the 2020 season. With Rivers in the pocket, the Colts currently have a record of 8-4.
