Heading into the Week 13 fixture against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys had a record of 5-6. Their chances of reaching the playoffs were diminishing, and they desperately needed to win against the Eagles. Such was the desperation for a win, Deion Sanders made a comment about the game.
He said, “If the Cowboys lose this game, Jerry Jones will fire and cut everybody but the Cheerleaders.” Sanders knew if the Cowboys lost to their division rivals, the Eagles, Jerry Jones would be furious, and it could lead to major decisions around the franchise.

Last season, the Dallas Cowboys won the NFC East. They will again head into the next season as the favorites to clinch their division and make the playoffs. However, their aim would be to make a deep run into the playoffs.
They lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wildcard Game last season. It was a very disappointing end to a season for the Cowboys that showed a lot of promise. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys will hope to learn from that and make a run toward the Super Bowl in the upcoming season.
