Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was given a metaphorical scolding by the NFL via a $25,000 fine for encouraging rowdy fan behavior. During his post-game presser, Prescott did agree and explained he understands why the fans were upset with the referees. The dissent from fans and Dak comes following their 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers at the AT&T Stadium.
The loss at home to the 49ers did see the Cowboys respond late on, but it was too little too late. The statement by the Cowboys QB does state that he is respectful of the officials and the difficulties that come with it. He also did agree that the safety of everyone within the stadium is of paramount importance. He does believe they did not get a fair opportunity on the final play of the game. The most raucous reaction from fans did come following the Cowboys being unable to complete a play before game clock expiration.
