It was a night to remember for Dallas Cowboys and their huge fan base. Not so much for their counterparts in the Atlanta Falcons, though. Matt Ryan gave the visitors an early lead as they went up 20-0 in the first quarter itself. The home team was helpless in the second quarter too as the Falcons ended the first half with a 19-point lead, but the second half was a whole different affair.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, seemed determined to put up a fight, especially with 21,000 fans in attendance at the AT&T Stadium. The fourth-year shot-caller threw for 450 yards and registered one passing TD to bring the Cowboys closer to win. He led the offense to a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter to seal the win by a narrowest of margins.

“This is huge. Coach McCarthy said at halftime, ‘We need to be here. We need to be right where we are.’ He said the final score didn’t matter as much as finding out the type of men that we have, the type of fight we have within this team. This does so much.”

“I just want to thank those 21,000 fans that showed up today. I think the team fed off that. It was simply just incredible. An incredible game to be part of,” Prescott said via The Athletic reporter Jon Machota.
The Cowboys will be brimming with confidence after their win. Mike McCarthy also got his first win as Dallas Cowboys head coach and remains unbeaten at the AT&T Stadium. Home fans will hope that he can maintain that record over the course of the 2020 NFL season.
