After ex-NFL star Marcellus Wiley recently condoned a school bus shooting incident in Maryland, another incident of gun violence shocked the nation after a gunman opened fire at an Allen Premium Outlets mall in North Dallas. The incident from Saturday set the entire community on high alert, as police officials rushed to the scene of the crime. This is yet another case in the increasing pandemic of gun violence that has become a growing cause of concern in the country.

The Dallas Cowboys recently released a statement on Twitter, shedding more light on the tragic incident. The statement states that they are ‘deeply saddened’ by the meaningless loss of life in the mall shooting. Jerry Jones’ organization sent their condolences and prayers to all the families of the victims, as well as the local community of Dallas.

According to reports, hundreds of people were evacuated from the mall after an unidentified shooter started shooting indiscriminately at passers-by present at the mall. A police officer, who was present with an unrelated call in the mall, gunned down the unidentified shooter. Allen Fire Chief Jonathan Boyd stated that seven people have lost their lives. This included the gunman who lost his life after being shot down. According to eyewitnesses, the gunman wore all black, while also carrying tactical gear.
