Dallas Cowboys Mourns the Passing of Jerry Jones’ Long Time Executive Assistant Marylyn Love

Dallas Cowboys lost the backbone and a beloved person of the franchise. Marylyn Love’s demise has shaken the organization. The longstanding executive assistant to Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones passed away aged 80 on Thursday. Her cause of death is unknown.

Marylyn left her job behind as an attorney in Oklahoma to join Jones and has been working with him for over four decades, even before he acquired the Cowboys franchise. Moreover, people among the franchise have massive respect for her as they saw him as a family figure in the workplace.

The presence of Marylyn Love has revolutionized the organization, and her one decision to join the Cowboys changed GM/Owner Jones’ life by being a part of her family since the beginning.

Dallas Cowboys mourn Marylyn’s death

Cowboys Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones released a statement over his demise, where he mentions, “Marylyn had a great impact on and earned the respect of many players and coaches over the years. She was as integral as anybody in the success of the Dallas Cowboys. Those relationships she built were long-lasting.”

The news of Marylyn’s death, according to GM Jones, has shaken the entire Dallas Cowboys franchise. For more than 40 years, she has been by his side, calling Love a rock, the voice, and the calm in the storm.’

In his Pro Football Hall of Fame acceptance speech, legendary cornerback Deion Sanders, who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1995 to 1999, emphasized Love, saying that Marylyn was the best cover corner in the NFL while she was covering for Jerry.

Marylyn Love is probably the sole reason that Jerry Jones managed to acquire the Dallas Cowboys. She was the initial part of the core and was instrumental in the development of this franchise. Marylyn has been a major part of all the success the franchise has achieved all these years.
