Since 2017, the NFL world has constantly engaged in the Colin Kaepernick scenario. The alleged whispers around his exit from the league have led to continuous debates. Over the last five years, many people have asked about their stance on the whole Kaepernick saga. In 2019, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones called the whole Kap situation a ‘circus.’

Jerry said, “We aren’t in the QB business. We are looking for talent. It’s unfortunate you can’t zero in on the business at hand. That situation from the get-go had a lot more than football involved. We got the result of that dynamic.”

Jerry spoke those words in 2019, but they are applicable till now. The whole saga has continued to go on over the years. The only person that has suffered from it is Colin Kaepernick himself. The former 49ers quarterback has been out of the league since 2017.

Colin Kaepernick edges closer to a return to the NFL

Kap’s much-awaited return to the NFL might be closer. He recently worked out with the Las Vegas Raiders, impressing many people. There is a high possibility that he will end up on a team’s roster ahead of the upcoming season.

The Raiders were looking to bring Kaepernick as a backup to their QB1 Derek Carr. Nothing is certain yet, but one can only hope that it works out for Kap.

He has been out from the NFL since his contract with the 49ers ended. Almost everyone believed that Kap’s career was over, but Kap continued to try his best throughout the years. As a result, he might get the opportunity he has been craving. Moreover, he can show the world that he still can play and contribute to a team.
