Ezekiel Elliott goes down among the top RBs in the Cowboys’ legacy. His skills on the field are commendable, which makes him stand out from the rest. But that does not mean he will not get a lesson. The Cowboys’ RB once got tutored for his skills, and his teammate’s kid did it.

Trevon Diggs’ son, Aiden, became a viral figure because of his immense support for his dad. Even though Trevon is among the league’s top cornerbacks, his son has taken the entire spotlight. He has become the most eminent Diggs in the household and the NFL. Probably even above Trevon and Stefon Diggs.

Ezekiel Elliott gets unforeseen instruction

Trevon’s mother, Stephanie, told Sports Illustrated’s Alex Prewitt that during a birthday celebration, the five-year-old approached Cowboys athlete Ezekiel Elliott and gave Zeke some advice on his skills. The young kid is passionate not just as a spectator, but he sees the game from a mentor’s perspective. Aiden saw slight flaws in the RB’s techniques and called him out for them.

She said, “Zeke, you don’t run very hard! You don’t hit the holes very hard!”

It is safe to say that Ezekiel Elliott took Aiden’s advice thoughtfully. He and the Dallas Cowboys had a fruitful 2021 campaign. Elliott raced for 1,002 yards and scored ten rushing touchdowns. He also had 47 receptions for 287 yards and two receiving scores.

The Cowboys clinched the NFC East but fell short in front of the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round. Perhaps coach Mike McCarthy would benefit from allowing Trevon Diggs’ son to work with his players even more.

Is Zeke’s NFL destiny in jeopardy?

Ezekiel Elliott broke out in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. He is an essential part of the roster in the Dak Prescott era. However, this year, there might be a big “if” in his fate with the franchise. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio and Charean Williams predict that if the RB does not amp up his game this year, this could be his last run with the Cowboys.

Charean Williams voices, “He’s got no guaranteed money left after this year. $10.9 million salary. Next year is a $16.72 million cap hit. This is going to be his last year in Dallas unless he agrees to a pay cut after the season. He did have that partially torn PCL last year, which I know is limited, and he played through it. He’s become a great leader for this team. But as you said, he’s not even the best running back on his team.

Even though Charean is only speculating, it is unsettling to imagine what America’s team would be like without Ezekiel Elliott. Let’s hope everything turns out well.
