Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Amari Cooper Drops a Big Injury Update

The Dallas Cowboys had terrible luck with injuries last season. With a bunch of key players missing for vast stretches of the season, the Cowboys limped to a 6-10 losing record.
While the defense particularly suffered due to key absentees, the offense too had its fair share of issues. With Dak Prescott out early on in the season, the offense struggled.

Eager to get done with what had been a sub-par season, the Cowboys endured more misery when they ended up losing wide receiver Amari Cooper in their last game of the season.
Cooper had to undergo an ankle injury late in January and has been out since. But like most other Dallas Cowboys superstars, the wider receiver is almost ready to pad up for the new season.

With the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp underway, Cooper remains on the injury list due to his ankle injury. But while talking to ESPN, the wide receiver revealed that his return date is now closer than ever.

“I wouldn’t say I’m quite 100 per cent yet, to be completely candid, but I’m real close,” Cooper said. “I can do everything, maybe a little better, just because I’ve been rehabbing so hard. Just trying to be the best Amari Cooper that I can be,” he added.

Amari Cooper finished last season with over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns. But he knows that in 2021 he can take things one step further. He said that his time away from the game made him realized what he had been missing.
“The thing about being injured is it reminds you about how much you love the game,” Cooper said. It’s just shown me how much I want to be there. I miss it so much. I never wanted to run a route so bad.”
