Did the Eagles win?

Philadelphia Eagles have made the perfect start to the 2023 NFL Draft. The defending NFC Champions had the biggest steal of the draft, nabbing away defensive tackle Jalen Carter at the No 9 pick, and had an equally enticing opportunity with the No 30 overall pick for outside linebacker Nolan Smith. With these two defensive additions, the Eagles find themselves in a better spot than they were before.

Additionally, the Eagles turned out to be extremely fortunate as teams walked away from Carter after the young phenom faced misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing. The fortune for the Eagles continued, as they only had to give up a fourth-rounder to ensure Carter lands in Philly.
