The Las Vegas Raiders are going through a deep rough patch this NFL season. After their last loss to Jeff Saturday’s Indianapolis Colts, their troubles have now compounded with the news of a major hit to the squad because of injuries.

Las Vegas Raiders’ first choice wide receiver Davante Adams is uncertain for their next game against the Denver Broncos because of an abdomen injury. However, according to sources as reported by Ian Rapoport, Adams will play on Sunday.

Davante Adams has an abdomen injury before Broncos matchup

When the Las Vegas Raiders brought in WR Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers in the off-season, the Silver and Black army had a lot of hopes from this NFL season. Davante joined his old friend and teammate Derek Carr after walking away from a dominant partnership with Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers. However, things have gone terribly wrong for the Raiders, who are 2-7 and sit at the bottom of the AFC West Division.

More Bad News for Las Vegas Raiders as Davante Adams Struggles to Train With Injury

Davante Adams has not disappointed the Raider Nation fans this season. The 29-year-old from Fresno State had 126 receiving yards and 9 receptions along with a touchdown in the 25-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Adams is averaging 13.8 yards per reception and has 8 touchdowns going into Week 11 of the season. Davante spent 8 years at Green Bay and amassed more than 8000 receiving yards and 73 touchdowns with A-Rod.

According to the official report from Rapoport, “WR Davante Adams (abdomen) was limited all week, but he is expected to play today, source said.

The Raiders’ offense will have a tough time dealing with Surtain without a star receiver

The Las Vegas Raiders are going up against their divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos, on Sunday. The two franchises are fighting to avoid the last position in their division. In their last divisional game in Week 4 of this season, the Raiders beat Russell Wilson and the Broncos 32-23. Davante Adams had 101 yards on 9 receptions in that ball game. And his probable absence will be troublesome for the Raiders and give star Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain way too much free time.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lead the AFC West with the LA Chargers in second. Derek Carr and Davante Adams have to script an impossible comeback to even think about playoff football. QB Carr expressed his sadness in the post-match presser, after losing to new head coach, Jeff Saturday’s rebuilding Indianapolis Colts.

The Raiders are also having internal problems and head coach Josh McDaniels’ job may be in peril. With financial problems also mounting, injuries to their star receiver are the last thing the Raiders need right now.
