The drama surrounding Davante Adams had an engaging twist of developments. The Packers franchise tagged him during the offseason. However, he was not willing to compare under the tag. Moreover, the confusion regarding A-Rod swayed the All-Pro receiver out of the team. It finally led to opening the trade window, and the Raiders swooped in to get the veteran wideout.
Davante Adams will compete in his first season away from the Packers in 2022. He collaborates with his longtime friend, Derek Carr. It could be a step down from a very proficient quarterback to a less competent one. However, the WR doesn’t think there has been much decrease.

Through his remarks, Davante further elevates his quarterback by referring to Derek Carr as a Hall of Famer. It is high praise for someone who recognizes each other since their collegiate days.

As per Sports Illustrated, the two connected for over 3,000 yards and 38 touchdowns at college from 2012 to 2013. Moreover, for Adams, it is not a significant change. However, he now needs to adjust to Carr’s ethics.

Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr made good statistical progress in their 2021 campaign, and both QBs had remarkably similar numbers. Carr took the raiders on an AFC Wild Card trip in 2021–2022, while Rodgers led his teams all the way to the divisional round. Although this time, the Raiders have something the Packers do not, Davante Adams.
