Firstly he refuses to negotiate with his former team with a pay cut, and then likes a tweet that suggests that he does not care about a ‘top-of-the-market deal‘. He was very vocal about his selection of players that he covets to play with, but he never also disclosed if any team had reached out to him with a deal.
