Amidst the rejections and speculations Hopkins tweeted a cryptic post that left the fans in more suspense.

The three-time first-team All-Pro wide receiver’s online activity is definitely unusual. Firstly he refuses to negotiate with his former team with a pay cut, and then likes a tweet that suggests that he does not care about a ‘top-of-the-market deal‘. He was very vocal about his selection of players that he covets to play with, but he never also disclosed if any team had reached out to him with a deal.

It was later revealed that the Bills were the most interested in trade talks with the Cardinals for Hopkins, so it is fairly appropriate for them to make a move on him now. Chris Fowler, an NFL insider revealed that the Bills and Chiefs are the top two contenders to make a move on Hopkins. The Chiefs are in grave need of a wide receiver on their team. Several reports have indicated that they tried to negotiate a deal with less pay as Hopkins currently insists on a staggering $19.45 million contract, which the team can not afford. But as there are no reports of them shaking hands it’s safe to say they haven’t come to an agreement.
