The NFL has big plans for the future, and things are about to change big time. The NFL recently announced a new broadcasting partnership with DAZN. DAZN is a British global sports streaming platform. The deal will see DAZN become the exclusive broadcaster of NFL games, through Game Pass International. 

With the new partnership, fans will now have to subscribe to DAZN through the Game Pass International if they want to watch their favorite teams in action. The deal is ready to be set across a decade, in the form of a 10-year broadcasting partnership. And fans have definitely not taken the news well. NFL Game Pass has been one of the NFL’s top revenue streams, as fans globally have tuned in to watch the riveting action of the season.

Fans are NOT happy about the new NFL policy

Fans have been out and about with their pitchforks since the NFL announced this news. The new partnership has been severely criticized for being a downgrade from the previous service. DAZN and the NFL have come under fire from fans who believe that DAZN’s service provision will ruin the current watchability of the NFL through Game Pass. 

Fans quickly took to Twitter to express their disappointment and frustration over the new partnership. As this fan hilariously tweeted.

Well, for starters, DAZN has very steep prices for a subscription to its streaming services. This has been a major put-off for several fans across different sports. The streaming service has also been under severe scrutiny due to its lacklustre streaming provisions. Another major factor for the frustration of fans with the new broadcasting deal is a shift of platforms for the NFL. 

The present Game Pass International streaming service has been well acclaimed by fans as a stable and reliable streaming platform. A change felt unnecessary to many fans, especially given DAZN’s infamous reputation. Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see how the shift in platforms turns out for international audiences.
