Deshaun Watson Comments On Baltimore Ravens’ Treatment of Earl Thomas

What a weird offseason Earl Thomas has undergone over the last couple of months. First, he made headlines for the bizarre ‘gunpoint situation’ involving his wife. Now, the talented NFL safety was offloaded from Baltimore Ravens after a preseason incident that involved teammate Chuck Clark.

The two reportedly clashed on Friday. Thomas was asked to go home following that altercation. There were reports that the entire Ravens roster was less than amused by Thomas’ behavior. Both parties decided to end their one-year association on an immediate basis.

Baltimore Ravens part ways with safety Earl Thomas

Earl Thomas was involved in a heated training ground bust-up with teammate Chuck Clark. He signed a four-year contract worth $55 million with Baltimore Ravens in 2019. The Ravens were obliged to pay the star player around $10 million over the course of 2020. This was the second installment of his deal. However, if reports are to true then they would no require to do so as per the current scenario.

Thomas was brilliant for the Ravens last season. He registered 49 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two interceptions. In doing so, Thomas named to the NFL Pro Bowl team for the seventh time in his career.

Here is what Houston Texans’ star quarterback, Deshaun Watson said about his friend Earl Thomas.

In his recent Instagram post, here is what Thomas wrote to his former employers.

“Appreciate the Ravens organization for the opportunity. Had a great run. Wish things would have ended different but you live and you learn. Thank you Eric DeCosta and everyone else who played a role in bringing me to B-More. Wish you guys the best,” he wrote.

It’s no secret that Thomas has been angling for a move to Dallas Cowboys for a long time now. The former Seattle Seahawks man famously even spoke to then Cowboys coach Jason Garrett after a game in 2018. The Cowboys certainly have the salary cap space to accommodate Thomas on their roster in 2020. The former Super Bowl will champion will be a star addition in Mike McCarthy’s team heading into the 2020 season.
