After getting a shocking win over the Bucs, the Browns have maintained their winning run against the Texans as well. Sunday’s game between the Texans and the Browns was getting some attention from the media, as former Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was making his debut for the Browns for the first time after serving his suspension. Certainly, it was a winning return for the 27-year-old quarterback.

However, the fans in the NRG Stadium in Houston did not enjoy his return, as they booed him heavily. During the post-game press conference, he gave a pretty cold response regarding this incident.

Speaking about the boos, Watson said, They’re supposed to boo. I’m a Cleveland Brown now and we’re on the road. So they’re supposed to boo.”

Despite the win, he did not have a great game for the Browns on his return. In that game, he completed 12 of 22 passes and threw 131 yards. He made no touchdown passes, but he threw an interception. Notably, this was his first game after almost 2 years, as he was facing sexual assault charges.

Then, he had to face a lengthy court case as well. After making a deal with the NFL, he decided to serve 11 game suspension period before making his return against the Texans. Before that, he joined the Browns team almost a month back, taking part in various meetings as well as keeping his fitness level high.

Speaking about his performance, the head coach Kevin Stefanski said, “Obviously you’re missing a bunch of time. So you’ve got to get back in it. You’ve got to get this first one out of the way. But I know what the kid is capable of.”

Watson felt happy to be back on the Field

After a horrendous couple of years, Watson finally made his much-awaited return, and he talked about it afterward. “I was just excited to be back on the field today. I did everything that I was asked and was required to do. I did all that. And I was able to play and be on the field today,” Watson said.

Notably, Watson also talked about leaving his past behind and trying to focus on football at the moment. It is worth mentioning that Watson signed the richest deal in the history of the NFL with the Browns, which is worth $230 million guaranteed in five years.

The season is pretty much over for the Browns; however, Watson could use some game time, which could help him massively in the next season.
