The game on Thursday night had a number of notable developments that you simply can’t ignore. While Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson fumbled, breaking his prized property, the Philadelphia Eagles struggled with the injuries to Avonte Maddox’s shoulder and Quez Watkins’ hamstring that kept them from playing. However, what really stuck out, was an unanticipated fight that occurred during the game between two important Eagles players.

Even more unexpected is the fact that heated arguments between players from the two different teams would have been anticipated to some extent. But, this time, though, the two major offensive players of the same team started arguing vehemently with one another.

What happened between Jalen Hurts & A.J. Brown?

The second week of the NFL season is in full swing, with the Philadelphia Eagles picking up their second straight victory and the Minnesota Vikings suffering their second straight defeat. However, the outcome of the game was not the primary concern. Teammates A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts seemed to be getting more and more upset with his game-time performance. At the start of the fourth quarter, despite their team led 27-14, he was spotted arguing with quarterback Jalen Hurts on the sideline.

The fact that Brown was receiving so few passes from Hurts seemed to be his biggest issue. Brown had only made three catches for a total of 17 yards at that moment, which is perhaps why he became irritated. Nick Sirianni, the Eagles’ head coach, had to step in to defuse the situation before it worsened. Curiously, on the next play after the dispute, Hurts connected with Brown in the end zone for a score, but sadly, it was ruled to be invalid.

Furthermore, Hurts and Sirianni shared their opinions on the situation and on Brown’s annoyance after the game in the locker room.

What Jalen Hurts and others think of A.J. Brown?

After the game, when asked about A.J. Brown’s frustration, Jalen Hurts replied, “I think everybody wants to make plays, and everybody wants to contribute. I have no worry about him. He is a great player, great teammate, great friend. We’ll do anything and everything with winning in mind.” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, who had to intervene to end the argument between his two key offensive players, stated, “The conversations we have on the field are going to be private, and the conversations we have in our locker room are going to be private.

The team’s safety Jason Kelce also shared his thoughts on the argument, saying, “Everybody’s going to get frustrated….I think actually, it’s worse when guys aren’t talking. So the fact that they were having an exchange at all is a positive in my mind.” Interestingly, Hurts and Brown had a strong rapport and coordination between each other. But as they were unable to connect in this Week’s game, fans are curious as to what went wrong between them.

Nevertheless, Eagles fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the team defeated the Vikings 34-28 at Lincoln Financial Field.
