Before getting into a relationship with the Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen had several relationships in the past. Her bond with the Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio happens to be the one that catches media attention all the time. This time it was for a bold revelation Bündchen made despite having Brady in her life.

The Brazilian Supermodel and DiCaprio dated each other from 1999 to 2005. In that period, both enjoyed stardom being on the front pages of magazines and the news world rolling over them. This unexpected fame and unrealistic exposure made Bündchen uncomfortable. Moreover, her way of living life with unhealthy food habits and approaches made her life a mess.

Until 2019, she never spoke about the reason behind parting ways with the actor. However, after a bit of soul searching, she realized that DiCaprio was not the one and her life had much more to experience and learn.

Three years down the line after she got married to the NFL quarterback, Bündchen revealed that she was still friends with her ex-boyfriend DiCaprio. “Leo is a really wonderful person. We still speak sometimes, and I’m friends with his mom. He still has one of my dogs,” Bündchen said.

“He’s done a lot for the environment, and I admire what he’s done. We know what we had; we were very young … And we grew together in a lot of ways. We were just not meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but I respect him enormously, and I wish him nothing but the best.” she added, extending her support for the actor.

“We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen!’ We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave,” Bündchen spoke about the first time she met her man.
