The Seattle Seahawks had a disaster of a season. The team finished with a meager 7-10 record, occupying the last place in the NFC West. However, it was not only the Seahawks that suffered wide receiver DK Metcalf did not have an ideal season either. He struggled to keep his calm at one point of the season, especially when the Seahawks suffered a shutout loss against the Packers.

Furthermore, it was not a productive campaign for the young wideout as he failed to cross the 1,000-yard mark this time. Yet he has big expectations of the 2022 season. During his recent interview with Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, he was very open about his struggles this season. And was also very transparent in naming the top five receivers in the league, according to him.

DK Metcalf names his Top 5 wide receivers in NFL

Metcalf started his list by naming a wideout that might shock many. He said that he would give the first spot to Julio Jones. The Tennessee Titans receiver certainly has his best days behind him but was no doubt a force to reckon when he was in his peak. Julio occupies a special place in DK’s heart, as the beast receiver has grown up watching Julio play.

The second player on the list, was the Green Bay Packers’ lethal weapon, Davante Adams. Adams has been a true threat this past season. He was also the go-to receiving prospect for Aaron Rodgers throughout the season, and their partnership did not disappoint. Metcalf knows just how good he can be.

The Seattle beast receiver again goes a little off track while naming his third in the list. It felt as if he has a special taste for Tennessee athletes as he mentions another Titans player. He named AJ Brown next on his list. AJ is a renowned receiver in the league; but is he good enough to be named third?

He then mentioned the second-year receiver, Justin Jefferson, as his fourth. Justin has been a beast ever since he was drafted in the league. He has registered 1400 or more yards in each of his two seasons in the league, making him one of the most lethal weapons for the Minnesota Vikings.

Metcalf names Cooper Kupp last

Finally, for his fifth rank, he chose the Super Bowl winning receiver, Cooper Kupp. Kupp has completely dominated the league this past season. After earning the triple crown (league leader in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns), he was bound to be the Offensive Player of the Year. Only 11 receivers in NFL history have ever won a triple crown, and Kupp is now one of them. However, it was amusing how DK placed him last on his list.
