The past seven months were a whirlwind for Damar Hamlin. It was the 3rd of January, 2023 as the Buffalo Bills awaited their much-anticipated showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, the battle of these storied franchises reached a premature end. During the first quarter, the Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin collided with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin immediately got back to his feet but soon collapsed afterward suffering a cardiac arrest. Thankfully, the Bills’ organization was right there to aid their star, and after months of relentless fighting, Hamlin finally got to thank his heroes.

Damar Hamlin got transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after being provided with oxygen. Right as the ambulance took Hamlin away, players fell down to one knee murmuring prayers under their breath. Since the gruesome injury, Damar Hamlin recovered miraculously and has gotten the clearance for his return to the gridiron. However, much of the credit belongs to the Buffalo Bills training staff and the fans who continue to be Hamlin’s pillar of strength.

Damar Hamlin’s resilience is a cause for celebration. However, the Buffalo Bills organization earned all the applauses sent their way. Damar Hamlin has earned a medical clearance from his doctors to rejoin training after undergoing rehab for months. Bills’ General Manager, Brandon Beane, also alluded that the team doctors have been privy to every evaluation of Hamlin by the specialists.
