Reports recently surfaced that the San Francisco 49ers were potentially looking to take the Packers legend, if the discussions with the Jets didn’t progress. With the team eyeing a Super Bowl contention with no franchise QB, A-Rod seemed like a perfect fit for the 49ers. But a recent update has suggested that the franchise is not looking at Rodgers to be their QB for the upcoming season.

According to Heavy on 49ers’ Facebook post, it appears the team isn’t willing to pay the Packers a large amount for the veteran QB. It stated that the San Francisco 49ers are ‘not interested in paying the price of doing business with Rodgers and the Packers’.
