“COVID-19 has changed nearly everything. From the way that we work, to how our kids learn, to the way we play football. As we work through one of the greatest challenges of our lifetimes, our health and wellness has never been more important.

“… In partnership with Ochsner Health, we will create community health centers in under-served communities throughout the great state of Louisiana. These health centers will offer primary and specialty care to communities who need it most, and promote health equity for all,” Drew Brees said.

Drew Brees founded the Brees Dream Foundation in 2003. The former Purdue man and his wife established this organization to support cancer patients. They did so in memory of Brittany’s aunt who died from the same condition months prior to that. Drew Brees and his wife’s foundation were also involved in various rehabilitation programs after the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans back in August 2005.

The Brees Dream foundation later announced a joint venture in 2007 with international children’s charity Operation Kids. In this project, the organization helped rebuild and restore academic and athletic facilities, parks, and playgrounds that were damaged during the hurricane.
