Two teams have led the supremacy over the others in the NFC East. Two factors that have kept the East division in the first place are the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. It is exciting to watch the long-standing rivalry between the franchises play out. However, there was once a Philly supporter who viciously blasted the Cowboys.

If history has to speak, the NFC East has one of the most bitter rivalries. It doesn’t stay at the team level; it gets extended to the fans as well. Social media has contributed to the escalation of hostility. There is actual hatred, and the divisional games are therefore tense.

The Eagles’ fans despise the Cowboys. The clip of John Barchard is the proof. Kyle Brandt once interviewed John Barchard, a podcast host at the 2018 NFL Draft. Kyle then asked Barchard, who was all donned in Eagles merchandise, to say something to the Dallas Cowboys. He then made a comment which might sting every America’s team enthusiast.

He says, “They have a nice stadium, and they’re an easy out in the playoffs.”

A Cowboys fan will always feel the pain. The franchise has been facing a Super Bowl drought for 25 years and still struggles in the playoffs. But this video also dates back to the same year. In 2018, when Philadelphia Eagles defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Cowboys defeated the Eagles in both contests during the regular season. However, the Birds came off in style.

This year was undoubtedly a rollercoaster offseason. Specifically, talking of the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys made spectacular headlines. However, it wasn’t on a pleasant note. Amari Cooper wasn’t delivering the benefit his deal suggested, and the team traded him away. Cedrick Wilson left in free agency as well. Randy Gregory objected to some contractual terms, the same bid he accepted from Denver. Dallas was scrambling to find a replacement during the period.

For the Eagles, they had a better offseason than the Cowboys. They finally have their No. 1 receiver after trading for A.J. Brown. Additionally, it enables DeVonta Smith to focus on performing at a high level. Haason Reddick and Jordan Davis’ addition to the team strengthens a defensive front that was losing strength. Further, James Bradberry’s acquisition is a wise choice that could have a significant impact. If Nakobe Dean performs as well in the NFL as he did in college, he could become one of the valuable draft steals.
