After months of misery, the Green Bay Packers finally seem to have found the winning formula. The Packers defense stood tall in the fourth quarter to keep Baker Mayfield out of the endzone in the fourth quarter and hold onto the lead. With this win, the Packers have posted back-to-back W’s for the first time since week four. And nobody is more relieved than the face of the Packers franchise, Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers rode on the backs of their defense in the fourth quarter to get over the Los Angeles Rams and keep themselves alive in the playoff race.

Ecstatic Aaron Rodgers is proud of his boys 

The Packers QB Aaron Rodgers looked extremely relieved after riding over the Rams at the Lambeau field. He praised his defense for holding the fort for the team and giving the offense good field positions.

“We got some good field positions, and we made the most of it. But we had a couple of drives in the fourth to put them away, didn’t do it. But a great last drive to finish the game off, I am proud of those guys,” Rodgers said in the on-field interview after the win.

He also reminded his team that they still have a lot to play for. But he heaved a sigh of relief after posting back-to-back wins.

The Packers went into halftime just four points ahead of the Rams. But they came out full throttle in the third quarter to kill the game off. And they finally found some balance in their passing and running games.

A team win for the Packers 

The offense found some semblance of a groove and the defense held out when called upon, this was certainly a team win for the Packers. Head coach Matt LaFleur found some balance in his team’s passing and running games to post a much-needed win.

They still have some work to do as it gave away far too many turnovers that could have cost them the game. But it certainly looked better than it has all season. In the third quarter, they were especially dominant. 

The Packers offense came flying out of the blocks in the second half with an 11-play touchdown drive that changed the game completely. They scored another touchdown in the third quarter to take a very comfortable lead. In the end, the Packers defense held on despite turnovers and the home team posted a 24-12 win.

The Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 229 yards with one TD. He also threw an interception in the game. But the Packers run game yielded two touchdowns. And that might be a template of how they will approach the rest of the regular season games. Can the 6-8 Packers make it to the playoffs?
