Russell Wilson is recharging his batteries after a disappointing first season in Denver. A true family man, Wilson is spending most of his time with his wife Ciara and his kids. The offseason provides ample opportunity for outings and the Denver Broncos QB has so far taken full advantage of that. As the QB gears up for the crucial football season ahead, he and Ciara recreated their old dating days.

Wilson has faced a lot of criticism in the last season after a much-hyped-up move from the Seattle Seahawks. A new coach and a new system await him when he returns to the football field in a few months. But first, some family time.

Russell Wilson and Ciara bring back the old days 

Russell Wilson and Ciara dialed back the clock to bring back their dating days from eight years ago. Wilson took his singer wife and the kids to a zoo, somewhere he went with Ciara when they were still dating. Ciara shared some photos from the day, including one with her husband. That’s where she revealed the secret of the location.

“Fun fact….One of the first times we went out was at the zoo,” the singer wrote in the Instagram story.

Wilson re-shared the photo with a little message. “We back. 8 years later,” he wrote.

Wilson and Ciara started dating in 2015. They got married in 2016 and have two children, Sienna And Win. Along with that, they have also raised the singer’s son Future Zahir from her previous relationship. And the happiness on their faces tells the full story. Probably it’s a few happy moments to catch a breath before a new beginning for the Broncos.

Ready to usher in a new era 

When Russell Wilson came to Denver last offseason, fans saw it as a dawn of a new era. Nothing of that sort really came to be. In fact, the Broncos finished dead last in AFC West, resulting in head coach Nathaniel Hackett losing his job.

A year later, expectations are the same. The Broncos have hired a new head coach, the legendary Sean Payton. And Wilson will hope that he gets to start with a fresh leaf under the Super Bowl champion head coach. Payton revived the career of Drew Brees. Wilson hopes that he has the same effect on him.

The QB will have to shed the baggage of last season to start afresh in a few months. Will he live up to the reputation that prompted the Broncos to offer him a blockbuster $245 million deal? That is a question for after a few months. For now, it’s all about family.
