Ravens fans might be Star Wars fans. Because they have ‘A New Hope’. Alright, maybe that wasn’t really the perfect analogy, but with their latest moves, the Ravens have certainly created a room of opportunity to sign their Superstar QB, Lamar Jackson. And it would seem that they have more than just us believing in their chances. 

While the move to sign Odell Beckham Jr. is certainly a high-risk, high-reward move, the payoff for the move is much greater than the on-field outlook. For the Ravens, signing OBJ gives them a chance to make Lamar Jackson rethink his trade demands from the team. And perhaps, Beckham Jr. could be the missing link that propels the Ravens to a Super Bowl.

For Spears, the move for OBJ is a gamble for the Ravens. The risks are extremely high, but the rewards, perhaps, are even higher. For that matter, Spears views the move as one of the biggest game-changing moves in the league over the last few years. Here is the full excerpt from Spears:

“You either crazy or you a genius. Either way is risky, and that’s what gambling is. But if this turns out that Odell Beckham Jr stays healthy and has a really good season, and this move creates an avenue, or a lane, in order for you to get Lamar Jackson back, this is one of the biggest moves that we’ve seen in the league in a minute.”
