Although he threw a career-high 13 interceptions and sustained an ankle injury down the stretch, Jackson earned Pro Bowl accolades in 2021 with 16 passes and two rushing touchdowns.

Lamar Jackson is scheduled to play the 2022 season on his rookie contract‘s fifth-year option before being a free agent in 2023. While the Ravens have acknowledged that they would also like to keep the 2019 NFL MVP to a contract extension, Jackson has emphasized that he is not willing to renegotiate a deal.

According to a person familiar with the matter, Jackson has informed the Ravens believes he is currently too intent on maintaining his greatest year feasible and also that he does not want to sign a contract until after the 2022 season. It also doesn’t look like he intends to leave the Ravens. The fans expect Lamar to have more years in the franchise.
