Aaron Rodgers is leaving the Green Bay Packers 18 long years after he first came into the franchise as a 21-year-old draft pick. During his time in Wisconsin, he made numerous friends and memories. The Packers’ offensive tackle David Bakhtiari has been a constant in Rodgers’ inner circle over the years. And Rodgers had three special words for him after Bakhtiari paid a moving tribute to his outgoing QB on social media.

Rodgers sealed a blockbuster move to the New York Jets on Monday after months of speculation. It will be the first time since 2008 that the Packers will go into an NFL season without Rodgers on the roster. According to the deal, the Packers and the Jets have swapped their first round picks this draft. The Packers will now pick 13th and the Jets will take 15th. Apart from that, the Packers get a second round pick this year and a conditional first rounder in 2024. Finally something everybody seems happy with.

While Rodgers will be happy to go where he wanted, he will surely miss his friends in the Packers. But as they say, friends are for life. He will treasure the friendships and the memories he created at Lambeau Field while finding some new friends in the Big Apple.
