Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore Ravens’ newest wide receiver, is set to write a comeback story. After signing a massive $15,000,000 deal for one season, he proved why he was the hottest free agent on the NFL market. After all, it has been a long wait for the fans since his career-ending ACL injury, followed by a ‘not-so-positive’ surgery.

Now in his first week of training camp, Beckham is all set to practice. But he recently posted an adorable video on Instagram that has put a stop to many hearts amidst the training camp frenzy.

After a long absence, Odell Beckham Jr. returns to the football field. Fans are excited to think about his impact on the game, though he is eager for something else. In his IG story today, the Ravens WR opened up about his long-time wish that got fulfilled on Ravens’ camp field. Odell wrote, “I CAN’T LIE TO Y’ALL. THIS MAKES ME EMOTIONAL…TRULY WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR A LONG TIME. I ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE TRAINING CAMP WHERE YA FAMILY AND LIL MAN THERE WAITING FOR YA AFTER PRACTICE,” on the video that showcased him helping his almost six-month-old son Zydn taking his first steps on the training field. Later, he even posted a selfie with his little guy in his arms asleep, captioned, “My Lil Heartbeat.” Isn’t it adorable?

This came after he went to training camp with his wife, Lauren Wood, and son Zydn as part of head coach John Harbaugh’s practice of welcoming players’ families and friends for the practice. And it won’t be wrong to say that Beckham is embracing the culture of the Ravens wholeheartedly. Odell had also expressed his excitement about the camp, tweeting, “Regardless of anything else. God, I just wanna take a moment to say thank u. I was so grateful to be back on that field, running round like the lil kid I was back in the day before I ever made it here. To have my son out there waitin’ for me after practice… Thank you.” After all, this would be his first-time back-in-action since he tore his ACL against the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

Giving his all to the Team

After being called “not worth the hype in 2023 NFL Free Agency” by some critics, Odell Beckham Jr. is determined to prove everyone wrong. Though many think “he may be past his prime,” the Ravens WR is eager to give it his all. During his first successful training camp practice with the Ravens, he showcased his skills by leaping to catch a pass between cornerback Rock Ya-Sin and safety Kyle Hamilton. Beckham had earlier opened up about his struggle returning to the field with The Athletics’ Dan Pompei, saying, “I’m thinking this is my last year. I’m going to give it my all this year. And then, if something happens after that, we can go from there.”

Beckham had hurt his left knee during the second quarter of the Super Bowl LVI. Now that he is back, the WR plans to settle well into Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken’s system while backing up his #QB1 Lamar Jackson. What would be interesting to watch is if this ‘OBJ era’ gives Ravens the results they’re looking for.
