Patrick Mahomes is leading the Chiefs in another stellar season. The quarterback leads the NFL in touchdowns and passing yards. However, after grinding on the field, Mahomes can’t rest at home because of another future athlete.

Earlier this year, The Chiefs QB and soccer star wife Brittany Mahomes got hitched in Hawaii. The couple is expecting a second child at the end of this year, a boy. However, Mahomes’ hands are already pretty full with daughter Sterling.

Patrick Mahomes’ daughter is not letting the QB rest at home

Patrick Mahomes II is the son of former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes. Athletic genes run in the Mahomes family. And with Sterling Mahomes sharing the genes of her Super Bowl winner dad and professional soccer player mom, it’s no surprise she has some high-level athlete traits in her. The 1-year-old is already visiting soccer games with her parents and was also seen at a Kansas City Chiefs game way past her bedtime.

“Sterling has a ton of energy and she loves to run around to do everything,” Mahomes said before adding that his daughter takes up his vital recovery time at home. After a grueling session with the Chiefs, Mahomes has to come back and have another intense session with his daughter. “Sometimes you are tired and you want to just lay on the couch and Sterling does not play that. She wants to go out there and play,” added the 2020 Super Bowl MVP.

At 27, Patrick Mahomes is already one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. Mahomes holds the quarterback record for almost every major category. Besides being the fastest to reach 20,000 passing yards and 100 touchdowns as a QB, Mahomes also holds the NFL records for career passing yards per game and career quarterback rating (105.8). The 2020 Super Bowl Champion also has the most passing TDS in a post-season during the Super Bowl era.

Mahomes has been clear that he doesn’t want to push his children into doing anything in life. He wants to be a supportive father to his future son and Sterling. However, Mahomes’ daughter already seems to be following in her parent’s footsteps into the world of sports.

Father Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs sit at the top of the AFC West Division with a 7-2 record after their last win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Next up, they face their divisional rivals, the LA Chargers.
