The humble quarterback Dak Prescott reacts to breaking the Cowboys’ all-time record. His comeback season has officially got him a place in the history books. Prescott threw five touchdowns in the last game. This was his career-high. It also brought the total number of touchdowns to 37. Prescott broke Tony Romo’s single-season Cowboys record. In 2007 Romo made 36 touchdowns. It was the most in Cowboys’ history till Prescott.

In the game against the Eagles, the Cowboys’ QB got a rating of 151.8. After completing 21 passes for 295 yards with no Interceptions, Prescott made a career-high. He scored five touchdowns. This was a personal record for him.

Dak Prescott reacts to breaking the record 

After the week 18 game against the Eagles, Prescott did a post-match interview. In the interview, he said, “It’s special but I mean a record like that, that’s this team, that’s this offense,” Dak thinks that this is a team effort. He couldn’t have done it without them.

“All the different guys that caught passes, the guys that protected, everybody played a part in it and I’m just the beneficiary of it. But, to know where I was a year ago, to be where we are now headed to the playoffs, very excited.”

Football is indeed a team sport. Everyone has their part to play in it. A quarterback is just as good as his receiver. A QB needs good protection from the opposition defenders looking to sack him. Dak made sure everybody got the recognition they deserved. Prescott did not make the record alone. His entire team helped him. 

Prescott’s redemption season

The quarterback missed a significant amount in the 2020 season. A gnarly ankle injury sidelined Prescott. Even during the preseason, shoulder issues have bothered Dak. The 28-year-old had overcome a lot this season. The recent five touchdowns have ended his season on a pretty high note. The Cowboys are in full momentum for the post-season.

With the regular season coming to the end, Dallas is determined to leave a mark on the post-season. Winning the Super Bowl this season is high up on America’s team’s list. With the form Dak Prescott is currently in, the Cowboys can win the big one. The entire team is in top form.
