Ex-Cardinals QB Josh Rosen Finds Himself a New Team Ahead of 2021 NFL Season

Quarterback Josh Rosen has had not so enviable career path in the NFL so far. The quarterback drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with their first round pick in 2018 had failed to cement his place in the franchise’s plans as the team drafted his replacement in Kyler Murray the very next season.

Since then, Rosen has become a bit of a journeyman. Following two season stint with the Miami Dolphins which failed to reap any rewards, the QB joined the San Francisco 49ers‘ practice squad and even made it to the team roster as their 3rd QB.

But the Niners ultimately waived him last week leaving the former first rounder a free agent.  But Rosen wasn’t left without a team for long as the quarterback has now landed himself a new gig in the southeast.

Atlanta Falcons nab Josh Rosen

As per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Atlanta Falcons have signed Josh Rosen for 2021. While the details of the deal are yet to e released, it is believed he will be the side’s QB3.

Under new head coach Arthur Smith, Rosen could revive his career. After all, Smith helped Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill find his groove when he was the side’s offensive coordinator.

The current other quarterback on the Falcons roster includes the likes of franchise legend Matt Ryan and Feleipe Franks. The quarterback might not be called upon just yet, but he can make an impression and stick around, he could take over the mantle from Matt Ryan once he retires.
