NFL athletes tend to go broke. Such are the results of various studies and each one of those claims that 1 in 6 NFL players go broke within 12 years of retiring. Despite amassing millions of dollars throughout their careers, most NFL athletes forget that to continue building is to keep growing.
That is however not the case with former Washington Redskins linebacker, Will Compton. Compton spend the last year of his NFL career with the Las Vegas Raiders and soon made the smoothest of transitions into a well-respected media career. As Compton has continued building up his life’s work, the man has not shied away from investing with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry and the journey is truly inspirational.

Will Compton’s NFL career wasn’t the one he had envisioned as he continually found himself on practice squads. However, his playing days did open up the door to his next endeavors. The biggest of his achievements would have to be the podcast “Bussin’ with the Boys”, which was picked up by Barstool Sports back in 2020. Since then, Compton has turned into a household name.
But podcasting isn’t the only source of income for Compton, as the former NFL athlete is big on investing. During his recent appearance on ‘Next Up With Adam Breneman’, Compton opened up on his investing journey and his affinity for real estate.

“I do enjoy the real estate lane. I want to get back into more now that I feel like we’re scaling in a way like we’re in the middle of hiring.” expressed an ecstatic Compton.
Additionally, Compton has found some really good advisors, and some ventures even connect to music royalties, “I work with this advisor that I trust with absolutely everything and he’s gotten me in deals like I’m an investor in All Smoky. That moonshine. I’m an investor at Thera body with fu*king Jay Z and Rihanna.”

While Compton humbly bragged about his connections with Jay Z and Rihanna, the linebacker deserves all the praise in the world for opening up NFL players to a revolution and giving them a space to voice their opinions.

The nature of Will Compton’s job forces the former LV Raider to keep an eye on the happenings around him. Whether it’s Compton trolling the NFL GOAT or asking Kevin Durant to follow him on Twitter, Compton continues making his fans smile with his playful jabs.

As Compton and his podcast keep on growing, the man opened up about the fear of perception. The podcast game has been widely accepted among the NFL fraternity just recently, prior to that there was a sense of misjudgment. Something similar bothered Will Compton during the inception of ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ but Compton believed in the process and garnered a number of fans along the way.
Inspired by Compton, a ton of NFL and NBA athletes have come up with their own iterations of the podcast game, and Compton certainly deserves a huge chunk of the credit for this.
