The NFL world has almost forgotten former Browns quarterback Tim Couch. However, he is still keeping himself in shape. Not for getting back on the field, though. The entire footballing community received a shock when beloved college head coach Mike Leach passed away this month. And now they have received another shock, albeit a good one this time.

45-year-old Tim Couch uploaded a photo of himself and the internet cannot believe the former Air Raid offense signal-caller has maintained such a spotless physique after so many years. Despite playing only five seasons in the NFL, Tim Couch looks ready to hop back on the field. And why can’t he? Tom Brady is 45 years old, and he has no plans of retiring anytime soon.

Leach’s former student and quarterback showed off his eight packs and bulky biceps on his Instagram stories and the NFL world has called him a freak of nature. ESPN Radio host Matt Jones was the first to leak the photo on the internet. “I bet you think you are in pretty good shape, don’t you? Here is 46-year-old former UK QB Tim Couch’s picture which he posted today,” Jones tweeted.

And Tim Couch retweeted with a slight correction for Matt Jones. “45. Don’t put an extra year on me.” the former Kentucky quarterback wrote.

The NFL didn’t see the Tim Couch that OC Mike Leach promised

The couch was the college sensation the NFL was dearly waiting for. At Kentucky, the QB set the single-season passing yards record in the Southeastern championship and also took home the quarterback of the year. And this offensive supremacy was nothing unusual with head coach Hal Mumme and offensive coordinator Mike Leach.

Tim Couch was the first pick in the 1999 NFL Draft and hoped to rejuvenate a restarted Cleveland Browns franchise. In 2002, Couch even took the Browns to their first playoff season since the reactivation as an expansion team. And the Browns didn’t reach that stage again until 2020. However, injuries derailed his NFL dreams.

Couch still had over 11,000 passing yards in his five seasons and even spent some time with the Green Bay Packers, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Miami Dolphins before finally hanging it up for good.

The NFC Rookie of the Month in October 1999 joined the Fox Sports South for the SEC Gridiron football analysts broadcast after retirement. And 45-year-old Brady also has a Fox Sports job waiting for him. However, Tim Couch’s photo might have given the added motivation to TB12 to carry on playing.
