Thursday Night Football turned out to be catastrophic for the Broncos country after Russell Wilson failed to live up to the expectations of the fans. While his first year with the franchise is already on the radar of the critics, the veteran wasn’t able to make accurate throws, failing to reach out open receivers in the deep field.
Meanwhile, his recent injury update has triggered the fans even more. They claimed that it was an excuse to evade the current situation.

Even before making his debut for the Denver Broncos, the quarterback was a much-hyped entity. His eye-catching $245 million contract which was happened to be the prime attraction. Well, the former Super Bowl champion again failed to meet the expectations by losing 13-9 against the Colts.
Although it was a short week for the veteran to prepare after they faced the Raiders on Sunday, fans were keen to see Wilson leading the team toward a crucial win. Not only could he complete 50% of the passes, but also threw two crucial interceptions. This laid the foundation stone for their loss.
It was indeed an unexpected one, especially from a passer like Wilson stumbling in the final minutes of the game. Wilson reportedly experienced discomfort in his throwing shoulder, which was ignored at that time and turned out to be a villain on Thursday.
Post his Week 5 loss, the following day, he flew to Los Angeles to get a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection. He was diagnosed with a strained latissimus dorsi. However, per the recent reports by Tom Pelissero, his injury can’t be treated with an injection.

But the veteran has no intentions to stop. Wilson vows to play in the upcoming game against the Chargers. However, fans were asking for him to step out for at least one week.

The Broncos are currently 2-3 by the end of Week 5. In order to sustain their playoff chances, the team will have to grind hard in the upcoming games. A single jitter might prove them costly. It will be interesting to see how Nathaniel Hackett controls the situation and devises a viable solution.
