After so many years of watching Tom Brady in a blue and white jersey, it was weird to see him don the red of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Well, technically, he’s wearing orange while training but you get the gist of it. After 20 years with Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, TB12 has a new NFL team.

Brady signed a two-year deal with the Florida-based Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He stands to make around $60 million, which includes bonuses. This is not just one big fat paycheck on which he can probably end his career but something more than that. Brady wants to go down as the GOAT and his Tampa Bay adventure is an extension of that dream.

His teammates at Tampa Bay will certainly help him fulfill that goal, provided they gel well over the next couple of weeks. According to NFL Network’s James Palmer, that won’t be an issue at all.

Now they work on it against a defense in pads today for the first time.

“Look at this group of wide receivers, just three guys have made it to the pro bowl at the wide receiver spot playing alongside Brady over the years. (At Tampa) he has two guys coming off a Pro Bowl seasons in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin,” Palmer told NFL Network.

Along with wide receivers, Brady will also be joined by destructive TE and former Pats teammate, Rob Gronkowski. After a two year break, Gronkowski is back from retirement and will play with OJ Howard and Cameron Brate as part of the Bucs offense in 2020. Even at 43, ‘Tampa’ Brady is more than eager to push his limits. Can he lead Bruce Arians’ feared offense to the Lombardi Trophy in 2020?
