“Expose Them All”: Colin Kaepernick’s New Crime Series Wins Fans Hearts as Ex-NFL QB Seemingly Finds New Career Path

Despite staying away from the NFL world, former athlete Colin Kaepernick never fails to catch the headlines. The veteran is now engaged in establishing his name in the film industry, releasing a three-part true crime docuseries. It unravels some of the dark truths that happened at a police department in a small town in California. And it seems fans are loving the new career path of the QB.
Recently, the trailer of this docuseries was released on social media and has amassed several likes from the fans. It will be premiered on Hulu Friday, Feb 3, featuring some of the untold truths narrated by André Holland. Interestingly, this is one of the few projects undertaken by Kaepernick to promote his civil rights activism and clarify his stance against such crimes.

The former Niners quarterback shared the trailer of this docuseries on Instagram, captioning, “A true crime thriller we made set in Kevin McCarthy’s district. The highest homicide rate. The most crime. The most police executions. Welcome to Killing County,”. Instantly, fans started commenting on their expectations and applauded the NFL star-turned-activist for his motives.

“Expose them all,” said one of the followers. “Can’t wait to watch,” said another follower. “Protect this man at all cost”, “Kap doing what the ancestors told him to do!!”, “Bakersfield cops are known for shooting first and asking questions later” were some of the other reactions shared by the fans.
Per Reports, the story runs around a shooting incident that took the life of an innocent man, a loved father, and a son, Jorge Ramirez. Bakersfield police officers happened to be the culprits behind this crime, executing Ramirez near Four Points Sheraton hotel in September of 2013. According to KGET-TV, he worked as an off-the-books informant.

After investigations, it was revealed that Detectives Damacio Diaz and Patrick Mara were behind assigning him the job. However, none of the officers was charged in this regard. Hence the docuseries will portray this story to the outside world, resonating messages from Ramirez’s family and others who became the victims of this brutality.

His book ‘I Color Myself Different’ became a star-selling product. Similarly, the 35-year-old released ESPN documentaries reflecting his childhood, past, and present. Even the Academy Awards winner Spike Lee joined hands to direct a film for Kaepernick’s cause. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how long Kaepernick takes this activism and how much society benefits from it.
