The world of social media is always looking for slip-ups, and unfortunately, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, fell for one. Kelly came across some fake quotes online from Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Before even confirming their validity, she threw shade at the reigning league MVP on her Instagram story. It was a red-faced blooper reel moment for Mrs. Stafford as the internet trolls have claimed another high-profile victim.

The fake quotes from the Packers QB were discussing his friendship with Vikings QB Kirk Cousins and questioning the abilities of NFC North QBs. Mrs. Stafford seems to have taken offense to comments which insinuate that her husband’s accomplishments with the Lions were worthless.

She swiftly responds to Rodgers on her Instagram story stating, “Ya you’re wrong. Maybe the Bears, maybe.

While it is admirable on her part to defend the Rams QB, there should have been more attention to the validity of the fake quotes. However, she took to Instagram afterward to apologize to Rodgers for her error in distinguishing between the real and the fake. Matthew will be happy having such an internal support system and looking to put on a show in the upcoming NFL campaign.
