Fans Already Plan to Skip One Part of Netflix Documentary Featuring Patrick Mahomes

When it comes to sports documentaries, very few compare to the popularity of Netflix’s content production. From their behind-the-scenes look at the world of F1 with the series ‘Drive to Survive’, to the untold stories that have captivated fans for years, like the reveling story of Manti Te’o. But NFL fans have reason to be excited once again, with the announcement of the latest series featuring stars like Patrick Mahomes

Netflix announced that their latest series called ‘Quarterback’ will premiere in July, starring some of the top signal callers in the NFL. But even before the release of the documentary, it seems like fans have made up their mind about the show. Fans took to Twitter to reveal the part of the show, which is an automatic skip.

While most NFL fans are beyond excited to get a behind-the-scenes look at the life and workings of Patrick Mahomes, many fans have already announced their intentions to skip parts of the nine-episode series, which features Marcus Mariota. Mariota, the latest backup QB to Eagles star Jalen Hurts, was the center of attention as plans do not seem to be impressed by his part in the upcoming docu-series. 

As fans took to Twitter, many announced their intentions to skip Mariota’s part.

“Who let Marcus in there,” said a fan surprised by the QBs inclusion in the show. 

Another fan decided to dunk on Mariota with a hilarious tweet., “Mariota is gonna show us how not to throw a pass to an open WR.”

One fan decided to take a dig at Mariota for his decision to abandon the Falcons after getting benched last season. 

“Wonder if they show the part where Marcus quits on his team after getting benched”

Another fan had a funny observation about the diverse range of QBs in the show. From Super Bowl Champion Patrick Mahomes to backup QB Marcus Mariota.

 Closer Look at Netflix’s latest show starring Patrick Mahomes

‘Quarterback’ is set to be a one-of-a-kind dive into the huddles and inside the life of some of the top QBs in the league. The docu-series, in a first-of-its-kind move, will provide unprecedented access inside the life and workings of Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota. The series is set to feature 9 episodes and will give fans a closer look at these QBs through mic’d up footage, behind-the-scenes huddle footage, and even a look inside the homes of these players.

Mahomes, Cousins, and Mariota spent the majority of last season mic’d up in preparation for the series. The show will utilize this previously unseen footage to provide an all-access look into the world of these athletes. Especially given the amazing year that Patrick Mahomes had, winning the MVP, Super Bowl, and Super Bowl MVP, the show is set to be a delight for NFL fans to get a closer look at their favorite players.
