Fans In Disbelief After Browns’ Myles Garrett Gets Better Defensive Rating Than Last Season’s DPOY TJ Watt [96]

The EA’s rating for Madden 23 is finally released, and the results have created a certain amount of discontent among the Steelers fans. Despite being the Defensive Player of the year in the last season, T. J Watt is placed below Browns’ Myles Garrett, stealing his spot to enter the 99 clubs. Interestingly, Garret became the first player from Cleveland’s history to be a part of 99 Club on Madden’s launch day.
The 26-year-old was announced to have joined the prestigious 99 clubs on Tuesday. He secured an overall rating of 99, another Watt’s 96. No doubt, these figures raised many eyebrows as fans were unable to assimilate these results online. One Twitter user commented that Garrett was overrated.

Another user couldn’t understand on what basis the stats were thrown.
Is there a single stat in which garret beats watt???? What are they basing these on?

Similarly, this user couldn’t believe his eyes to see TJ in the second spot.

Despite getting a DPOY last season, Watt didn’t make it to the top. And that reason confused this fan to comment.

Previously, San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams got named to the 99 clubs, and later on, Garrett was announced to join him this season. Moreover, the edge rusher is coming off a phenomenal season, recording career-high sacks and showcasing his abilities to run for a DPOY award.
Does Myles Garrett deserve to be a better pick above TJ Watt?
The Browns’ edge rusher Myles Garrett registered 16 sacks last season and reached the mark of 99 for the first time in December. He made it to the first-team All-Pro in the last two seasons. However, the DPOY entitlement was a near miss. Moreover, he boasts 51 tackles and one forced fumble in the previous season. As of now, Garrett is the highest-rated edge rusher in Madden 23.
TJ Watt Is ‘Definitely Not Satisfied” With His Record-Breaking Haul Of Sacks: “I Have So Much More To Give”
It turns out that the Steelers linebacker is far-fetched in terms of records and accolades. The 27-year-old was the best defensive player last season and registered 22.5 sacks.
